I love this use of sweet potato vine that is not in a container. And it goes great with the purple salvia. This is not my house, but a house in my town that I drive by a lot. Great job!

How does that work? Did they plant a sprouted sweet potato?
The sweet potato vine that everyone grows in containers, is Ipomoea batatas. There are many ornamental varieties that people grow for the leaves, like the lime green one, above. The one that people eat doesn’t have as pretty a leaf, but is from the same family. They are all related to morning glories.
